A Collaborative Space for Integration and Confidence
EMDR consultation offers a supportive, reflective space to deepen your understanding of EMDR therapy and integrate it authentically into your clinical work.
My role as a consultant is to help you feel grounded and confident in your skills while staying connected to the art and science of the EMDR process.
Consultation is distinct from supervision. It is a collaborative professional relationship in which you retain full responsibility for client care while receiving feedback, reflection, and guidance to support your growth within the EMDR framework.
Together, we focus on building your capacity to stay present, curious, and attuned — both to your clients and to yourself as a clinician.
Philosophy and Framework
Consultation with me is collaborative, experiential, and trauma-informed.
I aim to create a balance of structure and spaciousness — room for both skill-building and reflection.
I integrate:
-
The Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) Model – understanding how experiences are stored and processed in the nervous system.
-
Polyvagal and Somatic Awareness – using body-based cues to support regulation, connection, and readiness for processing.
-
Trauma-Informed Principles – emphasizing safety, pacing, and consent throughout the consultation process.
-
Reflective and Relational Practice – exploring how the therapist’s nervous system, story, and presence shape the therapeutic process.
-
Ethical and Integrative Case Conceptualization – bridging EMDR with complementary modalities such as Sandtray, parts work, mindfulness, and experiential therapies, while remaining grounded in the AIP model and ethical care.
Focus in Consultation
Our consultation conversations move between skill development, case conceptualization, and reflective practice.
Together, we might explore:
-
Assessing readiness, pacing, and resourcing for complex clients
-
Integrating EMDR within trauma-informed and polyvagal frameworks
-
Applying EMDR principles to dissociation, attachment injury, and chronic stress
-
Using Sandtray to support resourcing, processing, or integration throughout the EMDR phases
-
Understanding regulation and countertransference during reprocessing
-
Balancing fidelity to the EMDR model with flexibility and clinical creativity
Consultation is a space to bring your questions, curiosities, and real clinical moments — and to leave with clarity, grounding, and next steps that fit your clinical style and your clients’ needs.
Reflective Practice in Action
Consultation is more than case review — it’s a relational process that helps us notice, understand, and integrate what arises in our work.
Together, we build the capacity to:
-
Recognize patterns in clinical decision-making and client response
-
Stay attuned to regulation and co-regulation throughout the EMDR phases
-
Integrate insight into embodied, compassionate, and ethical care
-
Sustain curiosity, steadiness, and creativity in complex clinical work
Consultation helps us return to the core of EMDR — trusting the adaptive nature of the system, the power of presence, and the process of repair.
Structure and Alignment
Consultation may be held virtually or in person, and offered in individual or group formats.
Each consultation begins with a brief conversation to clarify goals, focus areas, and structure. A consultation agreement will outline expectations, EMDRIA alignment, and record-keeping for hours completed.
I provide consultation for:
-
Clinicians completing EMDR Basic Training requirements (eligible hours toward the 10 individual/10 group EMDRIA standard)
-
Therapists pursuing EMDRIA Certification
-
Clinicians integrating EMDR principles within complex trauma, somatic, Sandtray, or experiential frameworks
Connect
If this approach to consultation resonates with you and you’re curious about working together, let’s connect. We can talk about where you are in your EMDR journey, your goals for growth, and the kind of rhythm and structure that will best support your development.
